I’m always researching the latest health and wellness information. It’s a good thing James is patient to a fault because I’m always bringing home random things, creating new recipes, and reading the latest books while I regal him with the exciting ways we’ll improve our lives this week (and many of these ideas make their way into my books). The benefits of Himalayan salt lamps recently came to my attention. Of course, I added one to my Christmas list of dream gifts and my mom delivered.
Many benefits of Himalayan salt lamps are anecdotal, but there are still indications they can improve your overall well-being. If you’re closed off and skeptical about anything that wasn’t created by a pharmaceutical company, then chances are nothing but synthetics are going to work for you. I always encourage people to keep an open mind, find ideas that resonate with them, and give them a whirl. You never know what might happen (check out my homemade personal care products if you haven’t already!).
Benefits of Himalayan salt lamps
If you get a Himalayan salt lamp, you might experience:

- Increased mood boosting properties
- Reduced stress
- Improved sleep
- Reduced allergy symptoms
- Increased energy levels
Regardless of whether or not you believe the reported benefits of Himalayan salt lamps, they look cool and can reduce your exposure to harsh lighting (and I say this as an electrician’s wife). James and I both use blue light filters on all of our devices (and I have the coating on my glasses), but any softer light is welcome in our home, especially when I do so much writing at night.
